The success trajectory of the retail company Supermercados Dalben began in the mid-1970s in Campinas, São Paulo. Before the store's inauguration, Mr. José Dalben and his family operated a small farm where they sold fruits and vegetables produced in the vicinity.

Recognizing the growth of their sales and gaining recognition for the quality of their products, the family relocated to the Taquaral neighborhood and opened a small retail store of 400 square meters.

After years of hard work (and following Mr. José Dalben's passing in 1990), the store underwent gradual renovations and expansions, now boasting a total area of 13,000 square meters. In 2007, the company opened its first branch, measuring 11,800 square meters, in the Barão Geraldo district near Campinas. Seven years later, in 2014, a second branch was inaugurated in the Mansões Santo Antônio neighborhood, covering 12,100 square meters. A significant milestone was the modernization and standardization of visual communication across all three units in 2015.

In 2019, the company announced further expansion plans with a new store set to open in Paulínia.

Today, Supermercados Dalben is classified as a medium-sized enterprise with an average of twenty checkouts per store and approximately 970 employees. It serves both individual customers and corporate clients, offering an extensive inventory of over 30,000 SKUs (Stock Keeping Units). Additionally, it provides various proprietary and outsourced services such as bakery, rotisserie, fish market, deli and dairy products, fruits and vegetables, butcher shop, restaurant, café, grocery store, bazaar, wine cellar, emporium, pharmacy, ATMs, lottery services, beauty salon, laundry services, mobile phone assistance, locksmith services, among others.
